Folder Translation

This is a service to translate any number of files into any number of languages. DOCX files, ODT files, and plain-text files (TXT, MD, HTML, etc.) are supported, as well as nicely formatted EPUBs. A non-retentive1 provider of DeepSeek is used for the main translation work, though other techniques support the process. Example translations into English can be viewed here:

Our service produces state-of-the-art machine translations while being very cheap (usually $1.10 to $1.60 per million characters). In extreme cases, our translation model might refuse to translate taboo, graphic or unintelligible content. Refusals are replaced with <NA> in the output.

Optionally, give a generic description that applies to each file. Examples:

  • "A tweet in Latin, by the pope"
  • "A review of a vacuum cleaner"
  • "A French story about a rabbit. Pierre should be translated as James. Use double quotes for dialogue."

1 Our DeepSeek provider never stores your files on disk, only in memory. Our server temporarily stores the original files on disk, and removes them once they're translated.
